Traffic Officer Claims Mistake After Being Caught Giving Baseless Tickets In Crown Heights
by CrownHeights.info
A Crown Heights resident reported a traffic enforcement agent caught giving baseless tickets in Crown Heights, telling CrownHeights.info that the officer, once confronted, claimed it was an accident.
“I noticed today at 12:40pm, Friday Nov 28th, a traffic agent giving tickets to all the cars parked on Montgomery Street between Kingston and Albany Ave,” the resident reported. “The side they were parked was no parking between 11:00am-12:30pm for street cleaning.”
“I was confused and checked the ticket, and it said the ticket was for street cleaning 12-1:30. I looked at the sign and it said 11-12:30.”
“I asked the officer why he was giving tickets, and he said, ‘look at the sign’. I showed him he was wrong, and he actually admitted that he got confused because he came from somewhere else where it was 12-1:30.
“He basically made a mistake, and now everyone has to fight the ticket. I quickly stopped him from giving additional tickets on the block.”

This should not go unpunished. he should be fired immediately. The higher ups in the dept. should be told about this. it would be nice to see witch block he was coming from
