55 For His 55th Birthday, Rabbi Yossi Garelik Gets A Fitting Surprise On His Birthday

Rabbi Yossi Garelik of the Anshei Lubavitch Shul in Crown Heights got a fitting surprise when he showed up to teach his daily Chassidus Shiur Monday morning.
The day was unique for many reasons, but mainly that today – Chof Tes Iyar – marked his 55th birthday, and the members of his daily shiur did not forget.
As a way of making this birthday memorable, the members of his daily shiur arranged that 55 members of the shul would be there at 6:30am for the Shiur and davening. Unaware of the plan, Rabbi Garelik walked in and was floored.
More than 60 people packed the shul on what would otherwise have been a normal Monday, attending the shiur and davening Shacharis together.
