Seminary and High School Unite for Production
Beth Rivkah High School of Montreal, in conjunction with Chaya Mushka Seminary, presented an amazing and truly inspiring production – “Solika Hatzadekes.”
The play beautifully portrayed, through drama, song and dance, the unbelievable Mesiras Nefesh of a teenage girl in Morocco, Solika Hatzedekes, about 180 years ago. She literally gave her life not to compromise anything in Tznius and Yiddishkeit.
The Production Heads were: Mrs. Shaindy Zirkind and Mrs. Fanny Benshimon – production coordinators; Mrs. Reut Hetsroni – drama director; Mrs. Pessy Minkowitz – writing original script and consultant.
The production left a long-lasting impression on all the girls in the play, as well as on the audience. Many people commented that the story came to life, to an extent that they felt part of it.

Calm down it’s just pictures there’s nothing not tznius about that!!!!
I like the one that was done in French..
…a couple of years ago…it was much, much better!
I think it was really cool when the School did the play in French – its more dramatic…

DEVORAH AND CHANA!!
Most moving production
One of the most moving productions I have seen, with a powerful message for tznius. It was especially heartwarming that Lubavitcher nigunim were used throughout. Go BRM & seminary BCM – you’re the best. The girls’ talents are phenomenal!
The hard work and many hours invested in this beautiful production by many individuals was well worth it.

chana!!! you are the best!!!!
just saying
I’ll say the same thing I say about bais rifkah productions- the schools need $$$- hire a top videographer to video it- and sell the videos in the grocery stores. People pay a lot for entertainment- these girls work hard- why shouldn’t the schools benefit- and everyone needs good quality entertainment.
concerned in MA

I realize that there are differing thoughts on what is/is not tzinus. Do you have an issue with their garb?
I, for one, thought they looked lovely & were appropriately dressed to present their powerful message.
The hard work that went into the production should be applauded & the message shared….not stifled

yay shaina gniwisch! we love you! you’re the best!

Production is excellent – for women to see and to see the photos. The costumes
are great. Some of the poses of cast and support cast don’t belong in a general
write-up seen by anyone and everyone.Did not mean to disparage all the hard work etc/ that went into it.

Post 1 is correct. There attire is fine, however, tznius is not just about short skirts or tights shirts. There are certain things that are inappropriate for the public, in this case men. Call me a prude, but halacha backs me up.
Yosy
The pictures, while lovely, should not have been posted. However, what can one expect from a chabad lite website. Why not post the video? I’m sure there are guys that will want to watch.
Pathetic
Old Alumni
Went to Beth Rivkah years ago…This school is tremendous.. a real family…I remember the devotion of Rabbi & Mrs. Minkowitz, the late nights and all those amazing Shabbatons and those fun trips to NY. They are one of the most amazing and dedicated shluchim I have ever met. They never want any kovod or thanks – and so sincere.Just amazing. Still have such great memories…
AHHHHH!
