United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, Crown Heights

After yeshiva on Thursday, 19 Kislev, 6th grade talmidim of ULY Crown Street were treated to a special Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen, arranged by Rabbi Yosef Shidler, the 6th grade’s ‘limudei chol’ teacher. The boys heard many powerful stories and wonderful divrie chizzuk connected with yud tes kislev and chanukah. Rabbi Yisrael Tevel also joined in for a surprise appearance, and spoke about a few special points in the Yud Tes Kislev story.

Beis Chaya Mushka, Crown Heights

After weeks of excitement and preparation, Beis Chaya Mushka Elementary celebrated Yud Tes Kislev with their annual Mother – Daughter Event. They began by viewing the Rabbeim Fair: at each classroom the children saw a 3D display of a story of one of the Rabbeim, from the Baal Shem Tov all the way to the Rebbe, helping them connect to each one.

After a delicious Mother –Daughter Lunch, each class presented a choir, dance, or play connected to Yud Tes Kislev, most of which the girls prepared on their own!

At the grand finale the girls sang the entire Perek of Katonti Baal Peh, and some girls also sang Perek Lamed Vov or Viyadata, which they learned as part of their Hachana for this special day.

The program ended with a beautiful slideshow of pictures of this year’s Bnos Chabad activities.

    Yankel,
Why the negative comment? Isn’t yat kislev about achdus as well? why do you say things that engender the very opposite?
