Emotional Hachnosas Sefer Torah Honors Lerman Family Matriarch
Members of the Lerman family and Congregation Beis Levi Yitzchok got together Sunday afternoon for a Siyum and Hachnosas Sefer Torah. The new Torah was dedicated in memory of Mrs. Menucha Lerman OBM.
Family and friends got together in the Lerman home on Montgomery Street where the writing of the Torah was completed. After a tear-filled blessing of ‘Shehecheyanu’ by Rabbi Tzvi Lerman after the completion, the crowed broke out in song.
The crowd then marched to Beis Levi Yitzchok on Crown and Albany where the new Torah will call home.
