Shluchim Online School Retreat in Baranquilla
Last week, 10 students of the Shluchim Online School enjoyed a unique and fun filled retreat in Baranquilla, Columbia. These boys, ages ten to thirteen, travelled from Bogota, Venezuala, Guatamala, Massachutest and New Jersey to be hosted graciously by Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Liberow of Baranquilla.
The boys attended Online School as usual, but were treated to a taste of camp between their classes. Two Bochurim – Bentzion Shemtov from Toledo, Ohio and Mendel Kesselman from Detroit, Michigan – planned and led activities, learning, games, trips, farbrengens and more.
These boys, most of whom have no or few frum peers where they live, enjoyed spending time together in this Chassidishe, warm and exciting atmosphere.
They are so grateful to the Liberows and all those involved in making this retreat a memorable one!
