INBOX: Hashem’s Hand In Delaying Iran Nuclear Deal

by Yoseph Janowski

We say in the Hagada, that in every generation G-d saves us from our enemies.

It seems that G-d is saving us now from three major threats: Ukranian Nazis, Palestinian terrorists, and Iranian Ayatollahs.

In the last few years, mainstream news outlets reported that Ukraine, a country with a history of vicious anti-semitism, was endorsing and supporting Nazis, who were increasingly gaining popularity, and who had formed armed militias. Now they are being wiped out.
This is not meant to justify Russia. Rather it reflects our belief that everything happens by Divine Providence, and that everything that G-d does is for the best, even if we don’t always understand it; and sometimes we are able to get a glimpse of some of the positive results.

Regarding Israel, the Lubavitcher Rebbe said that even just talking about giving away land encourages terrorists. Indeed right after a recent momentum from politicians, with discussions and meetings regarding a two state solution, a terrorist wave hit. But suddenly a Knesset member quit the coalition, and the politicians became afraid of the government falling, so they stopped talking about giving away land. Hopefully things will soon be peaceful.

In the past few months, Iran was about to sign a deal, which would have given them funds that they could use for terrorism. Also, the deal would reportedly have allowed them to develop a nuclear bomb in a few years. But first Russia delayed things, demanding certain guarantees. This was settled, but then other complications arose which may delay the deal indefinitely.

So we see how G-d is orchestrating events in our generation, miraculously protecting us.
