NYC Bins Now Required for Trash Collection or Risk Facing Fines
New York City homeowners or owners of a residence with nine or fewer units will need to start using NYC Bins or risk facing fines starting on Tuesday.
The New York City Department of Sanitation will start issuing summonses and $50 fines to those who do not use the black NYC bins to set out their trash.
Fines increase to $100 for the second offense and $200 for the third and subsequent offenses.
