Daycare Funding Fight Could Leave Thousands of Families Scrambling
Thousands of families hoping to enroll their children in affordable daycare may soon be placed on a waitlist as a result of a funding fight over New York’s child care voucher program.

The vouchers cap daycare costs for low-income and some middle-income families at roughly $15 per week, making child care accessible to tens of thousands of households.

Difficult situation
If you are a hard-working family, and Mom has to go to work to put food on the table, then government subsidies are very beneficial.
But in reality the vast majority of cases, people getting government subsidies are single mothers who know that the more babies they make the more money they get.
Girls as young as 16 with a baby get their own section 8 apartment. And it’s hurting everybody.
