Stay Indoors When You Can, The Air Quality in NYC Is Very Bad
by CrownHeights.info
The air quality today in New York City is bad, very bad.
The red haze and smell of smoke that is causing New Yorkers to seek shelter is originating from forest fires in Canada and slipping along the Jet Stream of air working its way down the east coast. Despite having travelled thousands of miles, the smell and air pollution is still overwhelming.
New Yorkers have been urged to stay in doors where you can, and if you do have to make your way outdoors, perhaps today would be a good day to take that COVID mask back out again.
The forecast for tomorrow also doesn’t look all that promising with New York State releasing a warning that “The air quality is forecasted to reach ‘Unhealthy’ AQI levels on Thursday in the New York City Metro, Long Island, Eastern Lake Ontario, Central and Western regions.”
