Explosion in Borough Park Kills 1, Injures 3

At least one person is dead and three others were hurt when a Borough Park building exploded Saturday afternoon.

After the explosion, fire sent smoke billowing in the air.

Investigators say a 60-year-old Dominican woman died in the stairwell of the building. She has not yet been identified.

Debris was sent flying into the air injuring a 34-year-old father and his 9 year old child, and a 27-year-old man who were all walking on the sidewalk. They were taken to Methodist Hospital where they are expected to be okay.
