BDE: Reb Menachem Moshe Teitelbaum, 81, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Reb Menachem Moshe Teitelbaum OBM, an alum of Lubavitcher Yeshiva and brother of Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Teitelbaum, Shliach to Miami Beach, FL.

He was 81 years old.

Reb Moshe, as he was commonly known, followed in the footsteps of his father, a famed Rav in Queens, New York, who had a special connection with the Rebbe, and sent his children to learn in Chabad Yeshivos.

At the age of twelved his mother took him to be tested, and they said he could go directly into college. Despite that, he never went instead getting a job at Chase Manhatten Bank, where they appointed him as 2nd vice president.

Reb Menachem Moshe was a noted talmid chochom who reviewed the entire Shas tens of times, and was a Baki in Shulchan Arach. and incredibly humble man that lived in Boro Park with his wife Shulamith for many years.

He passed away after contracting COVID-19.

Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum had seven siblings. Rabbi Eli Teitelbaum OBM, Rabbi Shlomo Teitelbaum OBM (the Rav of Hadas Yerayim), Yisroel Teitelbaum (Morristown, NJ), Rabbi Yitzchok Meir Teitelbaum (Miami Beach, FL), Rabbi Yosef Teitelbaum (Lakewood, NJ), Miriam Leiser (Boro Park), Leah Feldman (Toronto, Canada).

He leaves behind a large family of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The Levaya took place today in Boro Park.
