BDE: Mrs. Golda Miriam Shifrin, 73, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Golda Miriam (Goldie) Shifrin OBM, a Crown Heights resident active in helping those in the community. She passed away Motzei Shabbos, the 11th of Nisssan, 5780.
She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Hirschel Shifrin and children, Rabbi Zev Shifrin (Thousand Oaks, CA), Rabbi Eli Shifrin (Little Neck, NY), and Mrs. Sarah Steinmetz (Sarasota, FL), as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Such a wonderful person. Never hurt anyone!!! Always saw the good in people and a great sense of humor. She missed the Rebbe very much.
Among her other talents she had a chush in math and knew exactly how many days since gimimel tammuz. And she passed on the Rebbe’s birthdate!

I was nobody special and yet, when I met Goldie Schifrin on Kingston Ave or in 770, she always made me feel important. She was kind and friendly. She was very proud of her husband and children. May she be a Melitzah Yesheira for them and all of klal Yisrael.
