BDE: R’ Shalom Gurewicz, 56, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of R’ Shalom Gurewicz OBM, a Lubavitcher originally from Australia who recently moved from Chicago to Pomona, NY. He passed away over shabbos, the 10th of Nissan, 5780.
He was 56 years old.
He worked in the Chof K Kashrus organization in Chicago for many years.
He is survived by his wife Chaya Sarah, and his children Rabbi Dov Ber Gurewicz (Boca Raton, FL), Mendel Gurewicz (Pomona, NY), Mrs. Chana Feigel Hyams (London, UK), Mrs. Layly Kenigsberg (Staten Island, NY), Rikki (Chicago, IL), and Menucha (Pomona, NY).
He is survived his parents Rabbi Shmuel and Chava Gurewicz of Melbourne, Australia, and his siblings.
