Yud Aleph Nissan – 26th Birthday of the Children’s Sefer Torah Campaign

There are 304,805 letters in a Sefer Torah. When 304,805 Jewish children under bar-bas mitzvah, from all over the world, each buy one letter in a Sefer Torah, the achdus creates a tremendous force to bring down Hashem’s brochos to the Jewish people.

The Children’s Sefer Torah being written in the Old City of Yerushalayim brings peace and security, blessing and salvation to the Jewish people and to a shaking and insecure world.

On the home front, a letter in the Children’s Sefer Torah brings blessing to the child. The Rebbe often mentioned it when people requested blessings for the health of their children, and would emphasize that a letter should be purchased as soon as a child was born.

Each child receives a beautiful colored certificate from Israel with his/her name and the name of the Torah portion which contains that letter. A lottery decides which specific letter the child gets. Only children under bar-bas mitzvah are eligible.

Brochures (in Hebrew, English, Russian, French and Spanish), flyer-forms (in Hebrew and English) and posters are available upon request and can also be downloaded from our site.

Make sure your children, at home, at school or in your community, have a letter in their own special Sefer Torah.

To buy a letter (only one letter per child), send first and middle Jewish names, family name (all in Hebrew letters or all in English letters, as you want it to appear on the certificate), age, mother’s Jewish name, complete address, phone number, with one US dollar (or its value in any currency) for each letter, and mail to:

Children’s Sefer Torah, POB 8, Kfar Chabad 72915, Israel.

Hayom Yom for Yud Aleph Nissan:
On his birthday, one should spend time in seclusion. He should recall his experiences and think deeply into them. He should then repent and correct those (of his past deeds) that need correction and repentance.
