Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Rabbi Avremi Groner, 43, OBM

With great sadness and deep pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Rabbi Avrohom Yeshayohu Groner OBM, a much loved educator and rabbi in London, England. He was 43 years old.

Avremi was well known as a kind, sensitive and talented man who has dedicated the past 12 years to inspiring our youth with a love of Judaism through innovative and original programs that enabled everyone to be involved, to grow and develop a true love of life.

He also served as a Rabbi for a United Synagogue Shul in Sutton where he led his community with true dedication.

Recently it was discovered that he was suffering from a terrible illness and this morning came the news of his untimely passing.

He is survived by his wife Shternie and their five children.

He is also survived by his parents Rabbi Sholem Ber and Dina Groner in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Levaya will take place today, Tuesday, at 5:00pm from his home 2 Davies Court, Saw Mill Way, (off Timberwharf Road), N15, then proceed to Lubavitch House 107-115 Stamford Hill, London N16 5RP.

Kevurah at the Adath Yisroel Cemetery, in Silver Street, Cheshunt, Herts EN7 5JE.

    I think Rabbi SDB Groner of South Africa is the son of Reb Yitzchok Groner ZATZ”L of Australia and the niftar z”l also had YBLC”T siblings, like Reb Ari Groner sheyichye of Sydney, Australia! Oy Rebbe! Take us already out of Golus! Ad Mosai?

    I am so sick of opening CHI everyday and seeing this young person and that young person died:((( so horrible. leaving over young kids!!! Hashem enough is enough. Nebach on the children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I was his first Barmitzvah student when he became Rav of Sutton. My family were traditional, not frum, and were not involved in the community in the slightest. He reached out to me and out to them.

    I’m 25 now, married, frum, living in Eretz HaKodesh. I spent two years in yeshiva and a further two years in kollel. He did one of the sheva berachos under my huppah a year and a half ago.

    My heart is shattered as are the hearts of all who knew him. His guidance and encourgament set me off on the path to yiddishkeit. He was a true dedicated hossid who loved every Jew unconditionally.

    May his neshama have an aliyah and HKBH have rachmanus on his family in this terrible time… Always smiling, always gracious and always ready to go the extra mile… Words can’t describe what tzaddik and what a ba’al middos he was…
