Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Chana Tziyona Barouk, 91, OBM

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Chana Tziyona (Anna Ninette) Barouk of Nogent Sur Marne, France, matriarch of a large family of Chabad Chassidim and Shluchim all over the world.

Mrs. Barouk was born in Beja, Tunisia, in 1924 to Chacham Shlomo and Esther Hagege. After WWII, the family immigrated to Algeria, Israel and finally Paris, France, where she lived for more than fifty years.

Mrs. Barouk leaves behind the beautiful legacy of a large family of ten children, and over one hundred grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of them shluchim of the Rebbe.

She is survived by her 10 children: Mrs. Sarah Marrus, Mordecai Baruch and Avraham Barouk are sitting shiva in Monsey, New York; while Marlene Krief, Gilda Jacquey, Meyer Barouk, Rachamim Barouk, Dinah Rotbann, Betty Danan and Deborah Bronfman are sitting Shiva in France.

The Levaya took place today in Kfar Nehora, Israel.
