  • My eyes are filled with tears

Reb Mendel was truly a special chosid! With misiras nefesh, leaving the comforts of home in Wooster, MA as a young child to come to New York and learn in Tomchie Timimim. He was from the very few still with us that saw the Friediker Rebbe and was in 770 on the shabbos of Yud Shvat, 1950.

    We will sorely miss you.

R’ Mendel was a big Gomel Chesed, always taking a personal interest in someone else’s misfortune and making them feel like family – he would do it discreetly making sure to protect the receivers dignity. His brand of Chesed was from another time, a chesed rarely seen today.

  • I wish I could have said goodbye

Mendal was one of God’s guardian angels. And a strong one at that. He was a man that never gave up even up until his final hours. How he will be missed by so many. I was so very fortunate to have known and learned so much from such a GREAT man.

May God guide and eluminate his path.

I thank you God for giving me such a beautiful friend.
