For many years he taught in the Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Boston.

“He was a holy Jew who for decades was completly given over to doing the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim; he was a fixture in the Jewish life of Boston,โ€ a community member told CrownHeights.info.

What a loss for the Boston community.
He was a very hidden and modest man.
But in reality he was a great Chosid and a Tzadik.
May his family be comforted and never again know of sadness.

I remember most his devotion to davening. It was truly inspiring to watch as a young teenager growing up.

A wonderful man, and a wonderful family. I was a college student in the Boston area many years ago, and the Scheiners opened their home to me and many other students. We became family to them. Mrs. Scheiner is a warm, genuine mother figure to many. May the family know only simchos and nachas.

Does anyone know the phone number in Brighton; I am unable to come to the home from where I now live, but I would like to express my condolences via the phone.
I remember the many hours that I visited his house and studied with him

May Rabbi Scheiner’s memory always be a blessing. I feel incredibly blessed to have known him, and will always remember his warmth, openness, and incredible kindness. Thank you, Rabbi, for showing so many like me the joys of Jewish life and for making this world a richer and better place. My thoughts are with the Scheiner family on the loss of a truly great man and a wonderful husband and father.

Rabbi Scheiner will always be remembered by the students at N.E.H.A. Boston Lubavitz Yeshiva as a gentle loving person. I spent my summer of 1965 with him working so hard to bring me up to speed so that I could rejoin my classmates the following September. He had patience beyond belief.May his Family find comfort amongst the mourners of Zion.

I’m so sorry to the Scheiner family for your loss (and ours) of our dear Rabbi Leibel Scheiner. It was my privilege to get to know and learn from Rabbi Scheiner and his soulmate and wife Leah, two beautiful people with a most wonderful family. They opened their hearts and homes to many of us and sincerely cared, from the heart and spirit, deeply enriching our lives and souls.

I consider my true rabbi to have been Rabbi Scheiner and his wife Leah my spiritual guide and both will remain in my heart forever. The kind and gentle spirit of Leibel and humor and warmth of Leah and true generosity of the whole family — as well as the joyous occasions when the house filled with light and good energy (and the times studying with Leah) will always be a sweet memory.

I can’t do justice with these words, so I would like to convey my love and respect for the whole family and gratitude for knowing them and for how they welcomed me. Rabbi Scheiner, I will miss you, and thank you. I hope I can honor you and Leah in appreciation for your example. As the front door on their home read: “โ€ฆall are welcome”.
