Group of Lost Bochurim In The Catskills Found In Forest After Search

A group of approximately twenty yeshiva boys out on a hike in the Catskill Mountains became lost, and after a search was launched, the group was located safe and sound.

The boys, from Camp Adas Yereiyim went on a hike in the area Big Indiam Mountain, which has no cell reception.

The group had last been accounted for around 1:00pm, when a staff member reports having seen them.

The missing group had been only one of a couple groups, all of the others having returned in the evening.

A little before midnigt Thursday night, a search was called to locate the group, with search and rescue crews from NYS Forest Rangers, Rockland and Kiryas Joel Chaverim, and Catskills Hatzalah joining forces to cover the area.

Thankfully, the group was located around 1:00am, after having hiked around 20 miles over 12 hours. The exhausted boys were all thankfully healthy.
