‘Meshichist’ Graffiti Scrawled on Home of Killed Baby

Assailants attacked a Palestinian village in the West Bank early Friday and torched two homes, killing a young child and critically wounding at least three people, in what the Israeli prime minister called a “terror attack.” The arsonists scrawled graffiti on the homes they attacked, including “revenge!” and “Yechi Hamelech Hamoshiach!”

From the Washington Post:

The violence threatened to set off a dangerous escalation and further stir Palestinian fears that Israel allows attacks by militant Jewish settlers in the West Bank to go unpunished, though Israel says it does its best to track down assailants. Palestinian officials blamed Israel for the attack while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident a “terror attack.”

According to the Israeli military, the suspects entered the village of Duma, near the city of Nablus, where they set the homes ablaze and scrawled graffiti in Hebrew, including “Long live the Messiah,” `‘revenge” and “price tag” and then fled the scene.

The slain child was identified as 18-month-old Ali Dawabsheh. His 4-year-old brother Ahmad, father Saed and mother Riham were seriously hurt, according to Gassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official from the Nablus area.

How sick is that? A child is killed and someone attaches Yechi and everything that stands for, to this atrocity? I say… Yechhhhh.

It is not a chilul Lubavitch unless Uneducated people read it,

Na Nach also gained popularity among many Settlers, there is no connection to the Rebbe but maybe to the slogan,

Yechi Has no Bible stating to kill anyone

Living in a city that failed to surrender to the Israelites. (Deuteronomy 20:12-14)

  • guys....

It was fellow lubavitchers that murdered the baby. It’s hard to swallow but we have to accept it. There are monsters among us as well. I’m not a fan of Palestinians by any means but my heart does go our to this family. Their baby, killed…..terrible.

    • YouHaveAPoint

the erev rav did this – the medina scum. They want a 2 state and this is just another angle to press for it.

  • Yehuda

There is a messianic group among settlers but they did not appoint a Messiah,

  • Utterly Embarrassed

In general, I do not consider myself as one of them, however I do respect them as fellow Jews. However this is utterly embarrassing and disgraceful for anybody who has any association with such people.

I hope and pray that whoever did it has no connection to us and that it was done to shame us. They did a good job in shaming us if that is the case, but I will be relieved. But until that is discovered to be the case, we need to do some deep self reflection into who we are and what we teach and believe and try to understand how something as barbaric as this can happen.

  • Please

Just because it saus yechi dosnt mean lubavitches did this

It can be anyone in fact some say it was arabs who did this and wrote these words to make people think it was jews and chabad

bottom line a few less terrorist in the world

    • Amused Observer

That’s just disgusting. What sort of human would write this off as you do?

    • to mr amused observer

What sort of human would believe a jew did this??? Just because the media says something, or shows you something does not mean it’s true! ( im not saying it was for sure an arab, im saying: don’t believe everything you read.) do yourself a favor.

  • Yehuda

Before everyone condemns Jews please realize that just because something is written in hebrew & even references mosiach does not meant that it was done by jews. The arabs know how to read & write hebrew & they see all these yechi signs all over. They are very capable of doing this murderous act and in order to throw suspicion on the jews they would wite things in hebrew, They have done this before as seen in the mosque fire a while back

וואו! איך אתם שמחים עכשיו ללכלך על המשיחי אין!

  • Ma Rabbi

Everyone is jumping to conclusions as to who did it
Meanwhile nobody knows who committed the crime.

  • To crownhights.info

Why in the world do you put that as a headlining. not every everything has to do with meshichist and anti. can you leave your political views out of the articles. shame on you to think for a second that it was a lubavitsher! This is not what the Rabbi taught us. little bit of love even if somebody thinks differently and dose something wrong in your opinion.

    • אויף דעם גנב ברענט דעם היטעל

Last time I checked (or was forced to see) that this slogan is indeed a Mishechist slogan [=Long Live the King Messiah]… Unless you are feeling compelled to answer for these monsters for some strange reason… [=אויף דעם גנב ברענט דעם היטעל]

No one is accusing Mishechistim of perpetrating this heinous attack, its simply stating a fact that this particular slogan was left behind at the scene of this heinous crime.

      Now take a deep breath…

  • blood libel

It was obviously not Lubavitchers, as they would not leave a magen dovid (which is most commonly used as a zionist symbol).

It was most likely done by Palestinians. Blood libel, anyone?

  • thugs

these guys have no place in Judaism…sick thugs who are a waste to society…send them to a Palestinian jail.

  • Ma Rabbi

Has anyone stopped to think that Arabs in Israel also write Hebrew. That Hamas is capable of doing something like this to start riots.

  • CHLEAKS.COM

There in no evidence, there is no suspect. Even an arab can spray paint. Interesting that every slogan (or tag) was painted.

  • Citizen Berel

my heart does not go out to the enemy baby. or his family. I don’t have to feel for the enemy. how we are to behave is one thing how we are to feel is another. a plague on their house.

I agree with yehuda above and am surprised to see an article framed this way, notwithstanding the attitude towards yechi around here.

    • Amused Observer

      Another disgusting comment. “Enemy baby”?!?

How do you look at yourself in the mirror?

    • Citizen Berel

      uh huh.

Enemy baby. A baby who will rejoice at our dead and grow into an oppressor.

      May they all die young.

    • Amused Observer

“Enemy baby” again, who “will rejoice at our dead” . . . which is what you’re doing, in real life rather than an imaginary future.

Exactly how are you different from a terrorist?

    • Anonymous

“Enemy baby?” Would you say the same if it was your kid? That was somebody’s child! How can you say such horrid things? You know, you’re talking leshon hara, the sin of murdering another through speech. “Malicious talk is like an arrow. A person who unsheathes a sword can regret his intention and return it to its sheath. But the arrow cannot be retrieved.” -Midrash Tehillim

  • This sounds like a set up

Until they catch the killers don’t assume they are Jews. Radical Arabs have no problem killing their own and blaming us.

  • Messirah

Hold on a minute. I am not saying who authored this graffiti or who killed the baby but I am responding to those who say that Mishachist cannot cause a death…

Meshichist DID do messirah. That was supported by their leadership and even by their rabbonim with tactic silence of approval. THAT IS A FACT.

But to do fatal harm to a non-Jewish baby, that is not possible??!!

    Get real!

  • Crown Heights Resident

The Torah wants us to investigate thoroughly before we criticize another Jew.

  • Chabad in line of fire

The graffiti found in this incident puts Chabad directly in line of fire.

All Chabad’s committees and Shluchim must take a security enhancement initiative.

    Procedures to apply:

    • Notify your local police station of your concern about a possible retaliation
    • Appoint a person to detect and alert of a suspicious activate while community service taken place.
    • Have a respond plan ready that would include enforceable measures at the time of the event in the following sequence:
    1. Immediately notify everyone at the facility of the event and share any related information with all participants.
    2. Apply a preplan action responding to the event.
    Options to consider:
    a. Escape root
    b. Fight back
    c. Barricade and dial 911

  • again the wrong name

its not meshichtm its tzfatim their is a big difference !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Messirah

Muslims or Radical Muslims or Militant Muslims are all Muslims.

Meshichistim or tzfatim or Kvutza or Hendelist are all meshichistim.

  • Mabe it is an Arab

The Arabs can do such things and say Jews did it.
It’s not a question by me.

  • Makes more sense

Someone came a few days later and wrote that graffity.
Who says it was the same guy that burned the house??? The Washington post??? For that you write an anti-semetic headline???

    • I agree

And even if it’s the same guys that burned it, grafitty does not mean it was lubavitcher

  • Mishechist

Any Israeli could write what he wants in Hebrew on a wall.
On the other hand it would do a lot of good if Israel had a terrorist group that they were unofficially working through it wouldn’t take more than 48 hours to take care of the entire Palestinian problem that way

  • shlomo

nobody knew what do it, but everyone include israeli PM and president agry that it jewish. even here. how some one that wait moshiah can use nekama(revenge)???? and someone use NEKaMa do not wait for moshiach…. it simple someone write 2 common sign .. also nobody knew when it was write m.b years ago.
shame of all believe in jewish guilt

  • eliyahu

In the Arab world there are tons of apologists who claim that ISIS is actually an Israeli plot, or al-Qaeda are aligned with the Jews, or that the Mossad is responsible for 9/11, etc., etc. They cannot accept that members of their own ethnicity and religion can be responsible, so there must be an underlying conspiracy by their enemies (the Jews, America, etc.) to make them look bad.

And the same is happening here in the comments. “it’s a setup!” “Arabs know how to write Hebrew!” Yes, it is possible, but the overwhelming likelihood is that this hideous crime was committed by Jews. There exists in Eretz Yisroel — especially in the territories — an undercurrent of extreme racism and hatred that is violent in rhetoric, and increasingly, violent in action. Stoning of passing Arab children, harassment of women (verbal and otherwise), the destruction of olive trees…. it’s getting worse and worse. Just ask the Israel Police, Border Police, and IDF.

When something like happens it should be a wake-up call. Responding with denial only serves this murderous ideology. And to the poster who suggests he feels nothing for a child who was burned to death while alive and conscious — shame on you. No Jew should ever sink so low as to have no feeling for an innocent child killed so horribly simply for being a particular ethnicity. There is no difference between you and a pogromist.

  • levi

You guy’s are looking to connect and blame it on the meshichistim just because it says yechi even though it could be 1 million other things.it might even be the shabak looking for scapegoat.or it might be ginsburg people they also say yechi but about him!or it might be arabs using jewish words.so don’t come to conclusions!

  • Come on

Please. Who would be such a stupid as to write this on the wall if he did it?
100% that nobody associated with chabad did it
only someone who hate chabad could have done something like this

  • i am a yechenik

but this is absolutely disgusting, and who ever did it should me ashamed

  • hopeful

I think it’s about time these monsters, and ratzchonim, the arabs be paid back an eye for an eye literaly! Did anybody forget the Fogel family? Tiny baby, two other children and parents. what’s wrong with you people. That’s just one of the horrific murders these monsters did. The three boys? Anybody?? These are just the recent ones. It’s about time we did something ourselves, nobody else will. The Yechi has no place, and what’s the point, don’t get that.

    • eliyahu

you, sir, are disgusting. you honestly think that yidden should be going around killing random children?! what kind of warped mind believe that to be in any way, for any reason, acceptable?! i daven that klal yisroel is able to recognize such views for what they are, and firmly remove this sick ideology from its camp whenever it is encountered.

The “innocent” babies of Amalek were to be destroyed. When King Shaul had mercy and left one baby, it almost caused the entire Jewish nation to be destroyed in times of Haman.

Instead of shedding tears for the babies of our enemies, save your soft heart for innocent Jewish victims of our enemies.
