Lawyer Blames Klezky Murder on Orthodox Inbreeding

A lawyer for the Borough Park madman accused of butchering a lost little boy said that Levi Aron‘s actions can be partially pinned on in-breeding.

“Look, everybody knows when blood relations have offspring, there can be genetic defects,” Howard Greenberg said. “It’s something that needs to be investigated down to the ground.”

Aron, 35, is accused of kidnapping 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky off a Borough Park street in July, then killing and dismembering him.

The little boy was alone for the first time trying to meet his mother when he was snatched off the street, setting off a massive search that ended in horror inside Aron’s apartment.

Several of Leiby’s body parts in Dumpsters, authorities said.

Aron did not appear in person for his latest court date, but instead was flashed into the courtroom on a television screen. He was slumped over and seated alone at a table at Rikers Island.

“He’s catatonic,” Greenberg said.

The lawyer repeated outside of the courtroom that he will pursue an insanity defense. Aron has already been found fit to stand trial.

“It’s a very simple case,” Greenberg said. “You don’t do this unless you’re crazy.”

The flamboyant defense lawyer previously vowed to quit the practice of criminal law if Aron isn’t found to be insane.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) was outraged over the “inbreeding” claims.

“This lawyer is simply out of his freaking mind,” Hikind said. “He’s a sick, self-hating Jew who’s making a mockery of this case. It’s insulting and degrading to our entire community.”

    I thought I’ve heard everything but I have to admit that’s a new one. “Inbreds” commit murders. Who thought of that theory? The lawyer who thought up the twinkie defense?

    obviosly he is insain, no normal pearson can do suck a thing like that. the qustion then is, why are most in prison? they should claim insanity. prison is for the insain, pepole who do insain things. sad but true, most of the time.

    i know that some people are going to make fun of me for saying this but what does inbreeding mean?i have no idea what inbreeding means.if somebody can explain to me what inbreeding means.

    The lawyer is talking from experience. If you look at HIS picture, it does seem as though some serious inbreeding went on in his family…

    In Greenberg’s case, you can judge by his looks… it reflects what his innerself is all about.

    I imagine it would be hard to prove to a jury that in-breeding was the cause of Aaron’s actions, so I’m not quite sure why the lawyer is going down this road, unless he can’t think of any other story with which to pursue an insanity defense. The article seems to suggest that the lawyer has yet to properly investigate Aaron’s lineage.

    The lawyer was referring to his own inbreeding. How his father is his uncle, and his sister is his auntie.

    Reply To #7 Inbreeding is the reproduction from the mating of two genetically related parents. Inbreeding results in increased homozygosity, which can increase the chances of offspring being affected by recessive or deleterious traits.

    Sounds like a lawyer who knows he doesn’t have a case to make so the only route left is demagoguery.
