Mayor Bloomberg Visits Mourning Kletzky Family

With a solemn face, Mayor Michael Bloomberg visited the Kletsky family in Borough Park as they continued to mourn their eight-year-old son Lieby.

“The commissioner and I expressed our condolences to parents, grandparents and siblings, and there is not a lot else we can say,” said Bloomberg. “I don’t know why God sometimes does some things.”

Levi Aron is charged with kidnapping the boy, murdering him and dismembering the body.

The New York City Police Department’s crime scene unit was back at Aron’s home on East 2nd street Monday, continuing to gather evidence.

“The investigation is continuing to go forward,” said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. “Obviously any information we get will go to the district attorney.”

Defense lawyers for Aron spent about two and a half hours with him inside the psychiatric ward at Bellevue Hospital. They said their client seems mentally unstable.

“He’s been hearing voices for quite some time,” said Gerard Marrone, one of the defense attorneys. “He tries to quell some of the voices by listening to music. He listens to it with earphones and he listens to it very loud, and that helps him quell some of his voices.”

They lawyers said they are waiting for police and the Brooklyn district attorney to give them the written confession officials said Aron made about the crime. They also want the results of court-ordered psychiatric examinations.

“We are going to have independent experts of our own choosing examining him, as well,” said Pierre Bazile, the other defense attorney representing Aron.

Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind said no matter the mental state of the defendant, the facts of the case are clear.

“A lot of people say he looked a little odd, a little weird,” said Hikind. “A lot of us look odd and weird. That doesn’t mean we are capable of smothering an eight-year-old. Let’s keep in mind this 35-year-old adult picked up an eight-year-old child. What was he going to do with that child?”

y is it that people like that only hear voices to do bad things thay never hear voices to do good for some-one. its sounds like a cop-out if you did the crime do the time.

I believe the perp is insane.
The insanity plea must be removed, here in Montreal a doctor got off b/c he stabbed his kids to death dozens of times while they pleaded for mercy.
If he had shot them each once in their sleep he would have gotten the max penalty.
The worse the crime, the more chance of getting off b/c you must be nuts to do something so sick.

Mayor Bloomberg is a yid who knowingly and publicly goes against the aibishter’s Torah. He seems to be very proud of the fact that same sex marriages are now legal in New York City. He views this as a major accomplishment of his administration. Instead of giving him respect when he came to be menachem avel the Kletzky
family, he should have been publicly admonished. Where is the
Pinchas between us Yidden? Why is everyone quiet? Perhaps Leibby
Kletzky (olov hasholom) is a korban for Klal Yisroel’s deafening silence.

Thank you, Mayor Bloomberg, for the compassion you demonstrated by visiting the Kletzky family during their time of such sorrow. Why does it take a tragedy such as this to show our love for our fellow man?

First they lose their precious child to a sicko. Then they have to receive another sicko, i.e. Bloomberg, who is eagerly anticipating performing the first “Sodomite marriage” next week. HAShem Yishmor!

People who hear voices are not always violent toward others. So far, I have not yet read anything that says the voices told him to do what he did.

He could have a combination of mental issues which may have, unfortunately, negatively fed each other in this instance.

A body is controlled by the brain so if the brain is damaged or goes bad, the body is hostage to it. People don’t choose to have schizophrenia, epilepsy or other problems. Environmental and nutritional factors can also affect someone’s mental health greatly. Lead paint on children’s toys can damage the brain and nervous system. Research has shown a correlation between lead exposure and aggression.
