DES MOINES, IA [AP] — A supervisor at an Iowa kosher slaughterhouse raided by immigration agents has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for his part in hiring illegal immigrants.
Juan Carlos Guerrero-Espinoza was sentenced Thursday in Cedar Rapids federal court. He agreed to plead guilty in August to one count of conspiracy to hire illegal immigrants and one count of aiding and abetting the hiring of illegal immigrants.

Juan Carlos Guerrero-Espinoza was sentenced Thursday in Cedar Rapids federal court. He agreed to plead guilty in August to one count of conspiracy to hire illegal immigrants and one count of aiding and abetting the hiring of illegal immigrants.
The 36-year-old former supervisor at Postville’s Agriprocessors Inc. had faced up to 10 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. He was arrested following a May raid during which 389 people were arrested.
His attorney, Corey Rubenstein, says the judge reduced the sentence because Guerrero-Espinoza didn’t “engage in the offense for profit.”

As soon as I read this, I told my father that I was really scared for Rubashkin. He reminded me that Rubashkin has an advantage over the goy-he is a Yid and has Hashem on his side, it is the month of Adar, when the Yiddin’s mazel soars, and all the Yiddin are saying tehillim for him. The FBI is sure picking on this corner of small town America for some strange reason; Agriprocessors IS basically the whole town of IOWA, everyone works there, and it generates fantastic income for the United States govt. Even this 3 yr sentence is way too much for an innocent manager. Better concentrate on the Mexican illegal drug smugglers. I don’t understand the FBI people.
