ISREAL UPDATE: Hamas Announces Plan To Delay The Next Hostage Release, Abbas Agrees To Stop Pay-to-Slay

by CrownHeights.info

Multiple changes to the status quo have rocked the Middle East and Israel today as Hamas announced plans to delay the next hostage release and Abbas announces a major policy shift.

According to reports, Hamas says it is postponing the next release of hostages, set to take place on Saturday, until further notice, due to what it claims are Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas claims that Israel has delayed the return of displaced Gazans to the Strip’s north and opened fire on them, as well as prevented aid from entering Gaza. The terror group demands “retroactive compensation,” or it will not release any more hostages.

Defense Minister Israel Katz responded to Hamas’s statement calling it an “outright violation of the ceasefire.” Saying “I instructed the IDF to prepare at the highest level of alert for any possible scenario in Gaza and to protect the [border] communities. We will not return to the reality of October 7.”

In other major news, the Palestinian Authority leader Mouhamed Abbas announced a policy shift on the long-standing Pay -to-Slay policy, where terrorist’s families would receive money from the PA for family members that killed Israelis. This change, if followed through, would dynamically change the conflict.
