New State Law: Rear Facing Car Seats for Toddlers Under Two

A new law in New York State took effect this month requiring all toddlers under the age of two be placed in rear-facing car seats.

State officials say that the law was written to ensure young children are protected in the event of a crash or sudden stop.

It is advised that all drivers buy only new car seats, and not use second hand or used.
