Worst Terror Attack Since 9/11: 50 Slain in Orlando

An American-born man who’d pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation’s worst terror attack since 9/11.

From CNN:

The gunman, Omar Mateen, 29, of Fort Pierce, Florida, was interviewed by the FBI in 2013 and 2014 but was not found to be a threat, the FBI said.

Mateen called 911 during the attack to pledge allegiance to ISIS and mentioned the Boston Marathon bombers, according to a U.S. official.

Mateen carried an assault rifle and a pistol into the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Sunday and started shooting, killing 49 people and wounding at least 53, officials said.

After a standoff of about three hours, while people trapped inside the club desperately called and messaged friends and relatives, police crashed into the building with an armored vehicle and stun grenades and killed Mateen.

      How is it relevant what averos the victims might have done? When there’s an attack in EY do you ask whether the victims kept Shabbos, or taharas hamishpocho?! People’s private averos are between them and Hashem, but a terrorist attack is an attack on all of us; this terrorist could just as easily have decided to target a shul r”l. (There’s *no* evidence that he chose this target because of the kind of customers it had; all the evidence is that he was just looking for an easy target where he could kill lots of people without being stopped.)

But the LGBT perverts are not only being overt with it – what gets me, and should get every moral person is this: they are SHOVING IT down the throats of all, that you have to accept their lifestyle as acceptable. This is no different then, let’s say, a X-tian demanding that we accept Yushka or else…
