NY Jews harass pullout police officers

Right-wing psychological warfare intensifies ahead of pullout: New York Jews call homes of police officers participating in pullout tasks to demand they disobey orders

With the pullout quickly approaching, right-wing activists in New York have been recruited for the last-ditch effort to stop the evacuation, with some of them have phoning the homes of officers set to participate in pullout-related tasks and demanding they refuse to carry out the evacuation orders.

Rivka, the wife of a Beer Sheva police officer who is scheduled to take part in the pullout, received such a phone call at around 9 p.m.

”At first I thought it was a prank, but then the man said he was from New York,” she said.

“Our number is restricted, and it does not even appear in the phone book, so I have no idea how he may have obtained it.”

“I gave them the number of my husband’s father, and they told him it was wrong that his son was participating in the disengagement and asked him to convince my husband to refuse orders. I have heard of many cops who have received such phone calls. I’m mad.”

‘I got angry and hung up’

Rivka said she is angered by the psychological ploy, saying, “I’m six months pregnant, and most of the time I’m alone. My husband come home only to rest, and it is difficult.”

“Him being there (pullout) is not our decision, and the psychological pressure is taking its toll,” she said.

The police officer’s father, Shaul, said he received the phone call at precisely 9:11 p.m.

“They person on the other line said, ‘I’m a Jew from New York. You are an officer who is participating in the pullout.’ Then I got angry and hung up on them.”
