2 Die In Fatal Crash

The remnants of what used to be a car.

A small Ford Focus was driving down Nostrand Ave. and apparently slid out of control hitting a parked car then colliding with a traffic signal pole sideways splitting the car in half. One of the passengers was ejected from the car and the other was trapped in the car, both of them were transported to Kings County Hospital where they were both pronounced dead.

The car collided with the pole at around 2:00am at the corner of Nostarnd and Maple and split into two separate parts both of which ended up on the sidewalk. Highway Police had shut down the road pending the investigation of what had happened. Bystanders all agreed that they were positive that the car was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it collided with the pole. There were B”H no Yidden involved.

    The car was probably a "rebuild" from 2 salvaged cars, and then cosmetically made to look like a good car before being sold on to some unsuspecting guy for cheap "as a bargain deal" (very common with dodgy second hand dealers)

    Otherwise it would NEVER have split like that

    Okay, so you didn’t print my comment about protesting

    on seeing this type of gory stuff, a person is prompted
    to write to you again – even if you don’t print it.

    WHY, WHY do our kids or even adults have to be
    exposed to this gory stuff – what’s the EXCUSE!

    The NYPD’S Highway Division concluded that the car was indeed traveling at over 90mph and was possibly drag racing.

    People drive crazy in CH, Lubavitchers too. People are always speeding up to make the RED light (and they DO make it on red), I’ve seen near misses … of baby strollers pushed in front of a double parked truck so the driver had to skid etc…

    WHAT’S THE RUSH?? there’s no place to go in CH! the childrens lives are more important!! and if you see someone speeding, throw an egg, save a life!

    1)"dov dov" these things happen in the suburbs also.
    2)"protesting thePics" it’s good for everyone to see this. It’s real life and it will definately bring people to understand that the mitzvah to "guard your souls" should be a priority. And yes they where great pics. I disagree with web sites that show the bodies as I personally see it as a disgrace of the dead. I sure that that will not happen here.

    1) IF YOU ARE PUSHING A BABY STROLLER MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT PUSH THE STROLLER as you usually do WHEN YOU GET TO THE INTERSECTION. ESPACIALLY FOR DOUBLE LENGTH STROLLERS. BECAUSE USUALLY THE STROLLER IS 3-4 FEET ON THE ROAD BEFORE YOU’VE CHECKED FOR PASSING CARS.

    2)NEVER NEVER NEVER TRUST THAT OTHERS WILL STOP AT AN INTERSECTION. THIS APPLIES TO DRIVING AND WALKING. IT’S SIMPLE TREAT EVERY GREEN LIGHT AS A YEILD SIGN AND YOU’LL NEVER GET HIT. EVEN WHEN DRIVING. TREAT EVERY CAR AS IF THEY WILL NOT STOP. EVEN WHEN PASSING AN INTERSECTION IN YOUR OWN CAR. i ALWAYS LOOK BOTH WAYS WHEN SPPEDING THROGH AN INTERSECTION OR PROCEEDING ON A FRESH GREEN LIGHT. HOW DO YOU KNOW THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE RED ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE BEAT THE ORANGE AT THE LAST SECOND. BEING EXTRA AWARE WILL SAVE LIVES.
