The Strike Ends!
In a news conference the mayor announced that the strike has ended, and the mass transit system will return to normal operation. The MTA says that it will take 10 to 18 hours to get the system back up and running “you cant just turn it on off with the flick of a switch” said the mayor. But we can expect to see the buses running as early as this evening.

I don’t think they are really going to fine the workers. I think the union will ask for amnesty from those fines before they sign a final contract.
walla
just in time for chunuka shoping yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss lol
to julie
They don’t have the option to repeal those fines. The fines are a mandatory part of the taylor law.
If you listen to the mayors’ press conference (in this article), you’ll hear him discussing this exact question (posed by one of the repoters). He said that being that the fines are mandatory they will probably not be removed. He also mentioned that the judge, who has the sole power to revoke those fines will probably not want to being that they disobeyed a DIRECT ORDER from the judge not to strike.
Alas we may never know what will happen in the end due to the news blackout that has been imposed.
