This is a great tribute to a wonderful person- Those of us in New Orleans see what his extraordinary family has accomplished and all of us have felt its impact and significance( especially in LA.) I know he was so proud of what his children and grandchildren do for all of us.

The Rivkins are extraordinary people and have touched so many lives. This man has a great deal to be proud of. We are a family who was in New Orleans until Katrina, the Rivkins brought so much yiddishkeit to New Orleans and touched so many lives. It is a wonderful Jewish community and because of their work, will continue to thrive. They are amazing people.

The Rivkins have done so much to keep yidishkeit alive in New Orleans. We are especially grateful to them for establishing Torah Academy, the jewish day school which opened it’s doors when our 4 children became of school age. The jewish pride and values they learned have stayed with them and continue to guide them in the right path. Reb Mordechai had a lot to be proud of.
