A fire at 446 Kingston Ave caused mayhem Monday night after firefighters responded, but were delayed by a large amount of clutter in the building.

According to reports, the call for a fire was received at 911 around 11:00 p.m. on Monday evening, with many residents self-evacuating the building due to smoke as firefighters worked to gain control of the blaze.

A second fire truck was ultimately called to help extinguish the fire as firefighters reported extreme clutter hampering their work.

No injuries were reported, and the firefighters advised the residents to remain in their apartments.

The fire closed down Kingston Ave for an extended period of time.
