Fire Breaks Out in Large Apartment Building

A fire broke out on the fifth and sixth floors of a large apartment building on Lefferts Avenue in Crown Heights.

The fire broke out at around 2:50pm on the fifth and sixth floors of 532 Lefferts Avenue, off the corner of Kingston Avenue. The building is home to 70 residential units.

Parts of the building were evacuated while fire fighters worked to put out the blaze, which was confined to a small number of apartments.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The building is home to mostly non-Jewish residents, with a recent influx of a couple of Jewish families.

    Who is the owner? We must get more yidishe families in their before the hipsters get in , if they are not already !!!any one have connection and can speak to the landlord or act as a liaison? One man can make a difference!
