Tri-Generational 19 Kislev in Montreal

Montreal was certainly a warm place on Rosh Hashonah l’Chassidus! Yud-Tes Kislev was celebrated by the High School students of Beth Rivkah Montreal, together with their mothers and bubbies, at a festive Seuda-Farbrengen.

Rabbi Moishe Bryski, Shliach in Agura Hills, Conejo Valley, CA, energized the tri-generational audience with his inspirational words, which was a true example of “devorim hayotzyim min halev”.

Mirele Lurie (9th Grade) gave a Dvar Torah. Grade 9 students presented a choral rendition of Podoh V’Shalom, accompanied on the piano by Breindel Gniwisch (11th Grade). 10th grade students prepared eye-catching and informative Yud-Tes Kislev exhibits, on which they worked many hours outside of school. The decor was beautifully enhanced by the centerpieces made by 8th grade students and the signs made by 11th grade. 7th grade students set up the attractive tables.

Before the Farbrengen, the students enjoyed interesting workshops on a variety of topics, such as: “Can Tanya make me happy”, “Building a relationship with Hashem”, “Why do we need Chassidus”, “Ahavas Yisroel”. Special thanks to the presenters: Rabbi B. Bell, Mrs. M. Banon, Mrs. R. Cohen, Mrs. M. Itkin, Mrs. C. Gniwisch and Mrs. D. Shanowitz.

This amazing Seuda-Farbrengen was organized by Mrs. Fanny Benshimon and the Bnos Chabad Heads, Nisel Hus and Shaina Perlstein, with the assistance of Mrs. E. Sperlin and all the high school students. The fact that every grade participated in the preparations made the Farbrengen so much more meaningful to the students, and certainly gave their mothers and bubbies tremendous nachas!

The Elementary students also celebrated with a Seuda-Farbrengen and special Yud-Tes Kislev program. Thanks to Mrs. P. Minkowitz for arranging this event.
