Chof Beis Shevat in Manchester England

Approximately 100 ladies gathered to commemorate Chof Beis Shevat in Manchester. The theme this year followed that of the main Kinus Hashluchos of Ish Ubeiso and the evening called “Family First” was L’iluei Nishmas Esther Aidel bas Yisroel Eliezer.

The Guest Speaker was Mrs Sandy Weinbaum, director of the Jewish Family Centre of London and she spoke with warmth and insight about Families. The N’shei Ladies Choir led by Mrs Sophia Wolberg, sang songs of chizuk with the most amazing harmonies.

The tables were set up on the theme of different stages in the Jewish life cycle, eg baby, barmitzva, wedding etc. with a photo display of children surrounding themselves with mitzvas. The décor was put together beautifully by Mrs Sonia Klein and in keeping with the family theme a fleishig meal was served, instead of the usual buffet.
