R. Shimon Kramer Farbrengs at Cheder at the Ohel

Rabbi Shimon Kramer, Shliach from Merrick Long Island came to farbreng with students at Cheder at the Ohel for Chof Dalet Teves-Yartzeit of the Alter Rebbe.

He spoke about the well known story of the Alter Rebbe and the Miser explaining how each Jew needs to be appreciated for whatever contribution they make even if it seems less than what he can do.

Rabbi Kramer used examples & stories from his own shlichus to bring home this point. He reminded the boys of how relevant the Alter Rebbe’s teachings are and how much work there still is to do, and he encouraged the boys to do whatever they can to continue to spread the wellsprings of chassidus in this world.

Rabbi Kramer showed them ‘The Rav’ – a sefer about the Alter Rebbe’s life, which the Rebbe had instructed his grandmother, Rebbetzin Hodakov to translate into Yiddish.

Rabbi Kramer then told the children to say l’chaim and give brochos to each other.

In addition to running a Chabad house with his wife Chanie, Rabbi Kramer is an involved Cheder parent where 2 of his children attend.
