Gimmel Tammuz on Long Island

MINEOLA, NY [CHI] — More than 250 people gathered for a special Gimmel Tammuz Conference and Farbrengen co-sponsored by the Chabad Centers of Mineola & Oceanside in Nassau County.

Guest Speakers were Shimona Tzukernik and Rabbi Shlomo Yaffe. Special presentations were made by Rabbi Levi Gurkov and Rabbi Anchelle Perl.

Rabbi Levi Gurkov, director of Chabad of Oceanside, made the Rebbe’s siyum on Masesches Sotah and enthralled the assemblage with details on his yechidus with the Rebbe.

Rabbi Anchelle Perl, director of Chabad in Mineola, focused on the Rebbe’s Rashi sichos and revealed for the first time that he was the Rebbe’s Shliach sent to perform the Levaya for Abe Sacks, obm, the famous “Coach” of 770.

“The morning’s event inspired us to deepen our knowledge of the Rebbe teachings,” said Dr Sheldon Elfenbein. “I came away with a better understanding on why the Rebbe teaches us how each of us have a special mission that makes the difference for good across the world, said Elaine Rosenson.
