New Permits Filed for Seven-Story Residential Building In Crown Heights
by CrownHeights.info
New building permits have been filed for a proposed seven-story residential building at 17 Lamont Court, in Crown Heights.
The proposed development would rise approximately 74 feet and contain 22 residential units across 15,301 square feet of residential space, according to a report by New York YIMBY published Wednesday, October 14.
Moshe Tal is listed as the owner behind the permit applications, while Nataliya Donskoy of ND Architecture & Design PC is listed as the architect of record.
The planned building would have a concrete-based structure and a 33-foot-long rear yard. With an average unit size of approximately 695 square feet, the apartments are expected to be rentals, although the final unit details have not been confirmed.
The property is located between Empire Boulevard and Lefferts Avenue, a short distance from the Sterling Street subway station, served by the 2 and 5 trains.
The site is currently vacant, meaning demolition permits are not expected to be necessary. No construction completion date has been announced.
The latest filing follows an earlier development proposal for the property in 2018, when permits were filed for a six-story residential building with 11 apartments. The newly reported plans call for a larger building with 22 residences.
The project remains in the permitting stage, and the latest filing does not establish when construction will begin.
