Crown Heights Welcomes the New SCN Food Program: Fresh, Nutritious & Kosher Support for Families
A powerful new community initiative has officially arrived in Crown Heights — and it’s bringing fresh food, nutritious meals, and meaningful support directly to families who need it most.
The SCN Food Program has launched in partnership with Nutrition @ The Market Place and Nutrition @ The House of Glatt, helping eligible individuals and families receive medically tailored kosher groceries or fresh prepared cooked meals based on their nutritional needs and household size.
From colorful produce and healthy proteins to fresh prepared meals delivered with care, the program focuses on one simple mission: helping families stay healthy through nutritious food access in a respectful and community-centered way.
What’s Included?
Families approved for grocery support through Nutrition @ The Market Place will receive a wide variety of healthy kosher groceries including:
Proteins
Fresh vegetables
Fruits
Healthy starches
Dairy products
Fish and fresh meat
Pantry staples
The Market Place meat department operates under CHK certification, while the fish and bakery departments are certified under the OK Kosher certification, ensuring trusted kosher standards alongside quality nutrition.
Meanwhile, participants approved for prepared cooked meal support can enjoy fresh ready-to-eat kosher meals through Nutrition @ The House of Glatt in partnership with Kingston Pizza — all under CHK certification.
Fresh prepared cooked meals may especially benefit:
– Pregnant mothers
