$10 Kaporos Tuesday Night on Eastern Parkway

In honor of our 50th year of NCFJE bringing Kaporos to the Crown Heights community. We bring you $10 Kaporos with shechita!

It’s our way of saying thank you for five decades of support.  

The National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) is pleased to announce that Kaporos with Shechita will be offered on Tuesday night, September 30th, at Eastern Parkway. Thanks to generous sponsors and our commitment to making mitzvos more accessible, this year’s $10 per bird pricing is historic.

Eastern Parkway will start Kaporos at 6:00 PM, with shechita beginning at 9:00 PM, and continuing until supplies last. Community members are encouraged to arrive early as supplies will be limited.

 First Come, First Served – Limited Supply

Important Notes:

– Birds are provided through a donation model.
By making a $10 donation, you receive the right to use a chicken for the Kaporos ritual, in accordance with halacha. NCFJE retains ownership to ensure proper supervision and compliance with religious standards.

This long-standing tradition organized by NCFJE enables community members to fulfill the mitzvah of Kaporos in a respectful, halachically sound, and dignified way.
