Women Harassed At Crown Heights Protest Sues NYPD, Claims They Failed To Protect Her

A woman is suing the NYPD after she claims they failed to protect her at a pro-Palestine protest outside 770 Eastern Parkway earlier this year. According to reports, the woman is looking to receive $1.25 Million in damages.
Reports at the time indicated that the woman, along with an accompanying police officer, were followed by a large group from the Crown Heights Jewish community as they threatened and harassed her. Video from the incident went viral, with the story hitting headline news across the country.
Video viewed by CrownHeights.info showed the masked women leaving the protest group across from 770 Eastern Parkway and speaking with a police officer. Ultimately, the woman began walking away accompanied by the officer, with a group of men following behind them.
According to the woman’s attorney, she was not actually involved in the protest; rather, she had come to investigate after she heard a helicopter over her apartment.
Rabbi Motti Seligson, a spokesman for Chabad Lubavitch, condemned the actions of both the group of men and boys and the anti-Israel protesters in a statement published by the Gothamist.
“We condemn the crude language and violence of the small breakaway group of young people; such actions are entirely unacceptable and wholly antithetical to the Torah’s values,” Seligson said. “The fact that a possibly uninvolved bystander got pulled into the melee further underscores the point.”
The protest had originated over the visit of far-right Israeli MK Itamar Ben-Gvir to the community.

I think she should get compensated at a similar rate to what the beton family got for the Lynch during the Crown Heights riots with all the policemen standing by of course that measly compensation should be adjusted according to the Damage Done to her versus the Damage Done To Biton that I believe that would leave her about $50 in compensation

I’m pretty sure if they check her background, emails, contacts, friends, etc. They will find she was more than a just slightly connected and acquainted with the protest group.

She walked into an area where she knew there were disturbances and disruptions going on to check it out with her face covered. How could she be surprised. She wasn’t touched so I believe the police did an excellent job of ‘protecting’ this so called victim. She was not afraid of the threatening protestors, oh no, only of some Bochrim. Really?
