Vaad Hakohol Gives Kingston Avenue Construction Update

The Crown Heights Jewish Community Council (CHJCC) would like to update the community regarding upcoming city-led construction work:

President Street
Construction between Kingston and Albany Avenues is scheduled to conclude by June 20th.

Kingston Avenue
Sewer replacement work will begin June 23rd, starting at Eastern Parkway and progressing toward President Street. Work is expected to be completed by September 15th, ahead of the Tishrei Yomim Tovim.
Final repaving and restoration of Kingston Avenue is scheduled to take place after Yom Tov.

Extended Work Hours
Work will be conducted during the following extended hours:

  • Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Traffic Restrictions
During construction, streets will be closed to through traffic during working hours. Emergency vehicles and local deliveries will still be allowed access. A single lane will reopen each evening after work concludes.
