Apple Drugs, The Iconic Crown Heights Pharmacy, Now Under New Ownership

by CrownHeights.info

Every resident of Crown Heights knows the iconic stores of Kingston Ave. Raskin’s Fish, Mermelstein Takeout, Judaica World, Kingston Pizza and others. One of these stores is Apple Drugs, a staple of Crown Heights that has provided the medicinal needs of the community for decades.

The store, which remains bustling with shoppers and clients, has been sold to new owners in a seamless transfer that will enhance the store’s service.

“We are thrilled to announce the new ownership of Apple Drugs, now led by Simcha Mikhli, Supervising Pharmacist, and Jeremy Lebovitch, both bringing 20 years of retail pharmacy experience,” Apple Drugs told CrownHeights.info in a statement. “With a strong commitment to personal service and customer care, they are excited to join our vibrant community and enhance the Apple Drugs experience. They are actively addressing current challenges and expect to resume accepting all insurances shortly.”

Mrs. Linda Gutleizer, the previous owner and manager of Apple Drugs, is not leaving, instead staying on as a member of the team.

“To ensure a seamless transition, we are proud to share that Linda will remain a valued member of our team as a staff pharmacist, continuing her dedicated years of service to the community and families she has cared for throughout her career,” the new owners of Apple Drugs explained. “We thank you and look forward to your continued patronage and ability to service you and your families.”
