Woman Killed and Child Injured In Scooter Crash in Crown Heights

A crash involving a gas powered scooter in Crown Heights has left one woman dead and a child injured Wednesday.

According to the police, Winter King, 32, was riding a gas-powered scooter at 6:25pm in front of 1521 Dean Street with a 6-year-old child in the passenger seat when they crashed into the rear side corner of an SUV that was backing out of a driveway.

The woman suffered significant head injuries and the child ejected and suffering only minor injuries.

They were both transported to local hospitals where the woman passed away.
