Camp ‘Machne Mamosh’ Celebrates 80th Birthday with the Brooklyn Cyclone!
Crown Heights, Brooklyn — Camp Machne Mamosh – Lubavitcher Yeshivah Day Camp kicked off its program yesterday with an awesome start! Even with the many more children than expected, the dedicated staff really gave the children a great time.

Today, on just the second day of camp, the campers took part in a very special 80th birthday celebration at Astroland, Brooklyn’s only adventure theme park. The world famous Cyclone rollercoaster turned 80 years old today and the kids were on hand for a huge celebration… or better yet an adventure of a lifetime!
Camp runs for 8 weeks and focuses on refreshing the children with a renewed Chayos and warmth towards Yiddishkeit and a Chassidisher way of life. Head Counselor’s Shmuli Turk and Mendy Lasker both admit it must have been a miracle that they were given such a great team of staff this summer. Both have high expectations and they say they have plans for an outstanding summer experience.
JEALOUS MOM
Its so nice to see a crown heights camp actually making the effort to make the summer fun & wonderful for the boys that were unfortunate enough to get away for the summer. My son is in a different camp & the first day was just a lot of killing time for Rebbes who I think would rather be on vacation!( Not blaming them, they work hard all year)Hopefully his camp will still prove to have the chayos & fun that Machene Mamosh has!!
[Editorial Note: There is no need to mention names, they have been edited out]
another dissapointed crown heights mom
I Totally agree, my son also has to stay here in crown heights & went o camp the first day & cried & cried , He didnt want to go back. He said it was so boring !!P.S We are talking about a VERY BIG SCHOOL, that you would think has a little more experience over the years!!Maybe next year I will send him to Machne Mamosh, sounds like a great camp!!

Ever heard the saying, “The grass is always greener on the other side!” Last year my friends son went to that day camp and was bored and miserable the entire summer, they barely went on any trips or even left camp grounds, while my son had a blast in O.T.Day Camp. Day Camp has only just started I think it’s a little early to be so quick to judge.
Have a healthy & safe summer.
P.S. Another option would be to send your boys to Ohr Menachem or Darchei Menachem, I heard they have Yeshiva through July and only have vacation in August.

Celebration 80
I don’t believe its by chance that the Cyclone just turned 80 and its 80 years since the Previous Rebbe was released from prison.
can anyone think of any connection?
GO BOY-S
THAT LOOK’S LIKE FUN!!!!
regte
The only way you can knock down someone or school is if you write down who you are exactly, writing down my son went here and there and hated/ liked it means nothing, anyone can write it just to say something good about their father/uncle/brother etc. you get the point.
Thank you.
