Kita Gimmel-Daled Oholei Torah Cancel Classes After Possible Coronavirus Exposure

The first Crown Heights School cancellation due to Coronavirus was announced in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Kita Gimmel-Daled of Oholei Torah, the classes of Rabbi Shpeigelman and Rabbi Zaltzman, were cancelled through Monday.

In an email sent out to the parents, the Menahalim noted that “This decision has been made strictly as an abundance of caution as there may have been a potential of exposure to someone in this class on March 1.”

All other classes are scheduled to continue as normal.

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a wonderful Purim!

We’re sure that all of you have been following the news on the Coronavirus and that many have been wondering how it will affect our Yeshivah.

As a Yeshiva, we are are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the safety and health of our Talmidim and their families.

This letter is to inform you that class Gimmel-Daled (Rabbi Shpeigelman and Rabbi Zaltzman) in Yeshivah has been canceled until Monday.

This decision has been made strictly as an ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION as there may have been a potential of exposure to someone in this class on March 1.

Please keep in mind that this decision has been made with the guidance of professionals.

The rest of Yeshivah will continue as usual.

If your child is not in class 3-4, his class will continue as normal.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as soon as we have further information.

If your son displays any symptoms of the virus, please keep him home from school and consult with your child’s pediatrician.
