70 Tanks for 70 Years
Preparations in Crown Heights are underway for a spectacular event next week, to mark a most historical moment: Shivim Shana of the Rebbe’s Nesius.
As Chassidim and world Jewry celebrate 70 years since the Rebbe assumed the role of leadership this Yud Shevat, tens of Mitzvah-tanks will parade from 770 across the bridge to bring this major celebration to the streets of Manhattan and reach thousands of Jews with the Rebbe’s timely message of Mitzvos and preparation for the imminent Geulah.
Thousands of Bochurim the world over have been anticipating this day, and will be flying in to New York and joining the parade in honor of this auspicious milestone.
“I’m very excited and looking forward to joining with my own minivan,” said one community member. “I remember the parade we made for the 40th year anniversary of Yud Shevat back in 1990. The Rebbe came out of 770, watching as each tank passed by, one by one.”
Each Mitzvah Tank will be fully loaded with all the necessary materials, such as Tefilin, Shabbos candles and more.
All men, women and children are invited to come and join the celebration:
Tuesday 9 Shevat, February 4th 10:30 AM 770 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11213.
Anyone interested in driving a Mitzvah-tank can do so as well by signing up here:
