Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault on a woman in Crown Heights Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say the suspect approached a 24-year-old woman who was walking near Maple Street at about 3:00pm, exposed himself to her and touched her inappropriately. He then ran off.

The suspect is described as being 16 to 17 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build and weighing about 155 pounds.

He was last seen wearing black and gray shorts, a navy blue T-shirt and black and blue sneakers with two different colored shoe laces — one pair white and one pair blue.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online here.

But there are people exposing themselves inappropriately all over town. This guy just took things to an extreme.

If I had a son he would look like the upstanding citizen in that photo.

Apart from the seriousness of the crime & the distress to the poor lady, I am ROFL at your comment. Sad thing is, you’re right.

Number 3: What are you talkin’ about. You want him to have the guts to go to the next level? Rape? Chos V’Shalom. Let’s find this guy, and give him the maximum penalty.

  • Can I make a suggestion?

Hi everyone. Firstly,I am writing about the tznius issue in crown heights. This is my personal opinion and experience that many of my friends and many teenagers share.

I’m a young woman in my 20s who is a health professional. I was religious (modern orthodox) when i moved to crown heights however a few years ago due in part to personal reasons as well as feeling way too much pressure to keep the laws in crown heights i became not religious. To all those who are Lubavitchers that’s great. Continue to be and love every second. However, it is not good to push the laws on others when they are not comfortable following them. Give them space and instead show them the beauty of Judaism. Instead of ostracizing them for the things they don’t follow.

If you continue to do so, then many others will keep falling off the path of jewish practice. However, if you show them the beauty of judaism as well show them that you respect their ideas – although they may not be exactly like you they will love Judaism instead of hate it

I think you’re posting on the wrong topic. You need to re-post on the op-ed about Tznius.

  • #8 make no sense

#8 makes no sense. Obviously, you saw the beauty of Judaism and Chassidius otherwise you wouldn’t have moved to Crown Heights, yet you still went of the derech. We shouldn’t be teaching women Torah…they just don’t get it.

  • yes touching is a crime!

Touching – lets say he CV“S touched your wife or daughter in unmentionable places. would you say ”it’s only touching”?
PLease don’t be stupid. Unwelcome touching is a crime. let’s keep it that way. If you see this low life, please report him immediately.
Remember, Aveira goreres… and we don’t what him or his ilk touching any of us in any way whatsoever.

    *SIGH*

I am #9. I made an error when I posted “to #6” when I should have said “to #8.” Not only can’t you post your comments in the correct forum, you can’t follow a train of thought. I posted first as #9 & then to correct my error, as #10. NOWHERE did I say I was #8.

If you are representative of our teenagers, it’s clear why we have so many problems here. Please speak to your principal about getting instruction on reading comprehension & following directions.

To #13 please revert to sichos on last weeks parsha pertaining to the essential nature of women learning Torah. Oh yeah, the sichos were given by the Rebbe…

Please don’t write any more comments you clearly have no clue yourself.

  • Horrified, What a rachmonis on CH

Do we no longer know what crime is? I read two crimes.1) exposing himself in public. 2)Groping of any sort. Neither have anything to do with tznius and apply to non-Jews and any citizen of this world.
