Police Step Up Security in Crown Heights

In light of the recent terror attacks in Israel and the Kinus Hashluchim, which is taking place in Crown Heights, the NYPD has stepped up security around the convention and neighborhood Shuls.

Police officers from neighboring precincts have been pulled and many police officers, both in cars and on foot, have been added in Crown Heights.

An elite anti-terror team, known as the Hercules Unit, was seen patrolling the neighborhood as well.

Det. Vinny Martinos of the 71st Precinct Community Affairs Unit wrote CrownHeights.info “In light of the recent terrorist attacks in Israel the 71 Precinct will be stepping up visits and presence at all synagogue located in the confines of the 71 Precinct,” adding that “at this time there is no information on any pending activity in NYC and it is strictly a precautionary measure and to reinsure the community we serve of their safety.”
