A member of the Crown Heights Shomrim was driving up Troy Ave. at around 6:00 today, when he noticed heavy smoke escaping from the car in front of him. He immediately ran over and convinced the oblivious driver to get out of the car before it would be too late. The man obliged in the nick of time, as the engine burst into flames as soon as he got out and very quickly consumed the entire vehicle.

Jew Saves African-American from Burning Vehicle

A member of the Crown Heights Shomrim was driving up Troy Ave. at around 6:00 today, when he noticed heavy smoke escaping from the car in front of him. He immediately ran over and convinced the oblivious driver to get out of the car before it would be too late. The man obliged in the nick of time, as the engine burst into flames as soon as he got out and very quickly consumed the entire vehicle.

The driver profusely thanked the Shomrim member for quite possibly saving his life.

The fire department arrived after about 5 minutes, and proceeded to douse the flames.

    Doesn’t anyone in the neighborhood have a fire extinguisher???
    the same thing happened to my husband’s car once and a neighbor ran out with his and had it out way before the fire truck arrived.
